Secure Antivirus Pro is a Threat to Your Computer and Your Pocketbook

There are a lot of programs out there that you need to be careful of. Cyber criminals know that people need security applications to protect their computers. They create rogue programs like Secure Antivirus Pro to try to trick people into paying for a useless and fraudulent program. So, be careful and watchful when you are looking for security programs.

Secure Antivirus Pro is a rogue antivirus program that puts on a sleek appearance but offers no service whatsoever. On websites where it is promoted, there is nothing but lies told about what it is capable of doing. However, instead of being helpful this rogue causes the computer it has infected to slow down. It will also slow the Internet connection, alter browser security settings, and generate pop-ups.

Though Secure Antivirus Pro can be manually downloaded, it is more common to find computers infected without the user's knowledge. This happens through Trojan horse applications or tainted downloads, though it can also be slipped through security holes in the user's browser. However it happens to infect a computer, it will always create false security warnings advising the user to allow it to scan their computer.

The scan that is performed only yields fraudulent results. These phony results will be used to try to scare the user into paying for the full version of Secure Antivirus Pro. The 'trial version' will claim that the threats it found cannot be removed unless the user pay up. This is done with legitimate programs as well, but this rogue is far from legitimate.

If Secure Antivirus Pro has infected your computer, then you have a couple options for ridding yourself of it. You could remove it manually, but this can be difficult. Besides, if the rogue was installed by a Trojan horse, then it can easily be reinstalled after you have removed it manually. The best thing to do would be to use an antispyware application to find and remove all of the malicious software on your computer.

When looking for an antispyware program for your computer, you should always make sure that the product you are considering is legitimate. You can do this by researching the company that makes the antispyware. If there isn't any information on the company, then you shouldn't trust them. Also, when you have found a legitimate antispyware, you should make sure that it is guaranteed to remove 100% of spyware. Without these qualities, the antispyware isn't worth using.
